Disclaimer: This is an advanced tutorial meant for users comfortable setting up routers. If settings get corrupt, you always have the option of resetting the router but make sure you make note of your current settings or back them up first. The instructions and commands are provided AS IS for you to try and may or may not work depending on your actual router and the features available for you.



How to Setup the Blocks



Step 1 - Locate the Closest DNS Server


Go to http://www.unotelly.com/unodns/global and write down the IP address of the closest UnoDNS server to your location.



Step 2 - Login to the Router


a. Login to your DD-WRT Router

 

b. The default address is either http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 and the default username and password is usually admin for both.



Step 3 - Add the Firewall Rules


a.  Navigate to Administration -> Commands


b.  Type in the following rules in the Commands field.

      

iptables -I PREROUTING -t nat -p udp -d 8.8.4.4 --dport 53 -j DNAT --to-destination 23.21.182.24

iptables -I PREROUTING -t nat -p udp -d 8.8.8.8 --dport 53 -j DNAT --to-destination 162.248.221.182

iptables -I FORWARD -d 108.175.32.0/255.255.240.0 -j DROP

iptables -I FORWARD -d 23.246.0.0/255.255.192.0 -j DROP

iptables -I FORWARD -d 45.57.0.0/255.255.128.0 -j DROP

iptables -I FORWARD -d 185.2.220.0/255.255.252.0 -j DROP

iptables -I FORWARD -d 198.38.96.0/255.255.224.0 -j DROP

iptables -I FORWARD -d 198.45.48.0/255.255.240.0 -j DROP

iptables -I FORWARD -d 64.120.128.0/255.255.128.0 -j DROP

iptables -I FORWARD -d 64.197.128.0/255.255.128.0 -j DROP      


c.  Click on 'Save Firewall'




Step 4 - Reboot Router


a.  Navigate to Administration -> Management




b.  Scroll all the way down and click on Reboot Routerb.  Scroll all the way down and click on Reboot Router





How to Remove the Blocks


Step 1 - Login to the Router


a. Login to your DD-WRT Router

Step 2 - Remove Firewall Rules


a.  Navigate to Administration -> Commands

b.  Leave the Commands field empty.

c.  Click on 'Save Firewall'





Step 3 - Reboot Router


a.  Navigate to Administration -> Management



b.  Scroll all the way down and click on 'Reboot Router':
