If you experience trouble casting anything on Chromecast or just having general problems with setup, please try the steps below.
Troubleshooting Step 1: Check to make sure Google DNS are not accessible in your Network
Please complete one of the following steps from a computer connected to the router:
a. Open the Command Prompt or Terminal.
- Windows: Press AND at the same time on your keyboard. Type in cmd and press Enter.
- Mac OSX: In the upper right corner of your screen, where the search function is, type in Terminal and open the program.
b. Run the following commands:
Type in:ping 220.127.116.11
Type in:ping 18.104.22.168
c. If the Google blocks are working, the Pings above should be unreachable or should time out. If they actually go through and you get a response, please check your setup.

Troubleshooting Step 2: Factory Reset Chromecast
Factory resetting Chromecast will fix most issues as long as your setup is otherwise ok.
