is an advanced tutorial meant for users comfortable setting up routers.
If settings get corrupt, you always have the option of resetting the
router but make sure you make note of your current settings or back them
up first. The instructions and commands are provided AS IS for you to
try and may or may not work depending on your actual router and the
features available for you. This tutorial is also for a very specific model of router. Another router of the same manufacturer may not work with these instructions at all. These settings may be lost when your router restarts.
How to Setup the Blocks
Step 1 - Login to your Router
a. You must run "telnet" to login to your router. To access "telnet" on your computer please view this document: https://support.coolhandle.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=2088
b. Login by typing in the following command and hitting enter: telnet 192.168.1.254 (or whatever the LAN IP address is for your router)
c. With the Spark ISP in New Zealand the default username is Administrator, and the default password is blank. These will vary depending on your ISP and you only obtain it from your ISP.
2 - Add Static Routes
a. Then execute the following commands, hitting enter after each one:
env set var=SESSIONTIMEOUT value=0
dns server route flush
dns server route add dns=184.108.40.206 metric=5 intf=Internet (use whatever are your closest UnoTelly DNS servers)
